I took these photo's last year on my daughter's 22nd birthday...
I spoke to Lauryn this afternoon...Called her as I wanted to hear how her birthday was after the last sms she sent me.
She said she spent the day and evening alone
But is fine today...
She was given an amazing gift from the lady she works for so was on her way out to buy herself a camera and kindle...
I said good bye to her feeling so much happier as she sounded so happy.
Tonight I can sleep well....

Halloween is on Saturday, October 31st. We will also be turning our clocks back this weekend so we will be an hour ahead.

I look at these pictures of your daughter and I imagine mine at that age. 10 years from now and I know it is going to pass in a flash. I never want to be so far away from her but you never know what life will hold and they have to live their own lives. I'm glad she is feeling good today and that you will get a good sleep. Haha! Good to hear she did have a good birthday after all. Although, I know from experience, it's not always bad to go through harder times, even at your birthday (spent my 35th BD all on my own ;-). We all learn from things like that and grow stronger :-).
I am happy to read that Lauryn is sounding so happy. Everyday when I look at my girls I think of Lauryn and you.

I am glad to hear that Lauryn feels good! I know ...Anne was at her first time (S.A.)also very often alone on the evenings as she lived together with the dutch girls in the house!
And now .... she is so happy to live in her host family and she enjoy her live ion S.A. ....and she said if she could she would like never come to Germany - only for holidays!
Her countdown runs...6 weeks still!
